CGTech Demonstrates Vericut 9.3
The latest version of CNC simulation software incorporates improvements and new features focusing on using data for more informed manufacturing.
The latest version of CGTech's leading CNC simulation software, Vericut 9.3., demonstrates improvements made to the software. According to the company, 9.3 focuses on creating more efficient manufacturing processes with features incorporating data from the machine, tools and stock material to improve the quality of the simulation and the overall manufacturing workflow. Along with changes to core features, Vericut offers a new module to further improve the quality of the simulation, CNC Machine Connect.
With CNC Machine Connect, Vericut will be able to connect with CNC machines via Scytec's DataXchange software. Users can pre-check key aspects of machine setups, such as main NC programs, subprograms, work offsets, cutting tools and their length offsets, to make sure it matches what was previously simulated and verified in Vericut. If mismatches are identified, CNC Machine Connect enables users to update the simulation settings with the values found on the CNC machine to check the program is still safe to run without any unintended consequences.
This first version of CNC Machine Connect supports FANUC 0i and 31i CNC controls. The planned future releases will see expanded CNC control support (additional Fanuc control capabilities, Siemens, Heidenhain, OKUMA, etc.), live streaming of the machining process, as well as the ability to review data after machining to compare how NC programs ran on the machine against the Vericut project.
