Waterjet Diamond Cutting Head Offers Integration, Versatility

Barton International’s Trident-2 diamond cutting head for high-pressure waterjets is designed to offer the advantages of an integrated diamond design with the versatility of a replaceable orifice cartridge. Each cutting head cartridge is precision-machined around a simulated jet stream to improve orifice-to-nozzle alignment, resulting in a system that reduces wear and direct increased cutting force, the company says. The replaceable diamond cartridge can be swapped out when a different orifice size is required. The cutting head is said to result in improved accuracy, longer nozzle life and faster cutting with reduced abrasive consumption.
