Chip-Processing System Demonstrated with 3D Animation

PRAB will demonstrate its E-series chip-processing system using 3D digital animation. The animation will show the inside of equipment as each piece works in series to reduce volumes of metal turnings into thumbnail-size chips, separate oil and dry chips, and collect oil for recycle and reuse. Also featured will be the horizontal-axis crusher, paper-bed filter, Guardian tramp-oil separator, and reverse-osmosis system for recycling wastewater.

Additionally, the company will feature a reverse-osmosis system for treating process, parts washing, scrubber water and other forms of wastewater from metalworking activities. The purification system uses a semipermeable membrane and applied pressure to overcome osmotic pressure. It can be used alone or as a component in a comprehensive wastewater-treatment program. A water analysis is performed to determine the equipment requirements to meet reuse or approved dumping requirements.
