Pressing On With Servo-Based Manufacturing

IMTS22: Promess offers robotic workstations to enable customized automation.

While most have tried to keep up through the difficulties faced by manufacturers these past few years, US-based manufacturer Promess Inc. continues to push forward and focus on what’s next by concentrating on upgrading to a new manufacturing space and boosting inventory to keep lead times low. Promess remains committed to delivering high quality, distinctive servo-based manufacturing and test systems, including its Benchtop Workstation, Robot Press and Indexer Workstation, to its customers.

The Benchtop Workstation is a plug-and-play workstation capable of supporting Promess’ fully electric EMAP servo-presses up to 20kN. It possesses the same precision, ease-of-programming and integrated safety as a full-sized workstation, according to Promess. Boasting a lighter weight and compact size, this product is a good fit for tight floor spaces. Coming in with three different configured sizes, the Benchtop Workstation can also be tailored to fit a customer’s needs.

The Robot Press, also known as a robot-mountable EMAP, combines an EMAP’s precision for force and relative motion with a robot’s flexibility for positioning and pressing multiple points within a small workspace. The Robot Press is capable of being fully programmed for its press motions, according to Promess. In order to protect client’s investments into its products, Promess also integrated an overload protection into the software, helping reduce the risk of damaging equipment.

The Indexer Workstation is designed to facilitate machine-tending (robotic loading and unloading) and manual loading and unloading. According to Promess, this enables the workstation to provide great productivity and throughput while still delivering the high quality, assembled and tested products, complete with data for verification and process validation.

Difficult times for manufacturers have caused a strain across the board, but Promess still desires to see its clients succeed, providing 24/7/365 customer support and representation worldwide.
