The Kuka Official Robot Education (KORE) program presents high schools, technical centers, community colleges and universities the support and opportunity to incorporate certificate-based robot education using Kuka products. The KORE package supports the increased education programs incorporating robotic-based training into their existing Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM), Advanced Manufacturing and Mechatronics programs.
With the KORE package, students have the opportunity to learn and perform basic robot programming and operation skills on exercise hardware that is similar to the onsite classes taught in the Kuka College in Shelby Township, Michigan. And through the KORE program, students learn fundamental robotic basics on the same robots and control technology that is utilized in a variety of industries.
Kuka Robotics Corp. will be part of the Student Summit at this year’s IMTS. Located in booth #NC-631, Kuka will showcase its KORE cart with the KR 6 R700 Agilus robot for students to challenge themselves with directing the robot through a maze pattern. The students will even win a prize if they complete the maze within the allotted amount of time. This challenge from Kuka Robotics demonstrates behind-the-scenes programming, allowing the students to get a basic understanding of how to apply robotics in different areas.
