Stereolithography Process Enables Design of Fuel Injector
IMTS 2018: Protolabs, a provider of on-demand 3D printing, CNC machining, sheet metal fabrication and injection molding services, highlights its stereolithography (SL) capability.
Protolabs, a provider of on-demand 3D printing, CNC machining, sheet metal fabrication and injection molding services, highlights its stereolithography (SL) capability.
The company displays a 3D-printed aerospace part designed by Blume Engineering that serves as a fuel injector and nose cone adapter for a small ramjet engine. During the developmental stages of the project, the design team took advantage of the quick-turn prototyping and precision build capabilities of the SL process.
In addition to stereolithography, Protolabs also offers PolyJet, selective laser sintering, Multi Jet Fusion and direct metal laser sintering 3D printing services.
