EURAL 2033 LEAD FREE NEW ALUMINUM FREE-CUTTING ALLOY

Eural Gnutti S.p.A. is the largest European manufacturer of rods and bars both extruded and cold drawn, in Aluminum alloys, series 2000, 6000 and 7000. EURAL’s R&D laboratories conceived and developed 2033 LEAD FREE, a new aluminum alloy that gives an excellent machinability thanks to a very thin chip forming, high mechanical properties (Rm ≥ 53.7 ksi), excellent surface finishing after turning, better anodizing and weldability attitude compared to alloy 2011. 2033 LEAD FREEis suggested as an alternative to alloy 2011 (Pb ≥ 0,2%) after latest RoHS restrictions (Pb ≤ 0,1%) that will be applied starting from May 18^th , 2021. 2033 LEAD FREE does not contain tin (Sn) which, due to its brittle nature, has the dangerous tendency to suddenly break without significant previous deformation (strain). Main applications: automotive, electric and electronic, precision machining, defense, forging, screws, bolts, nuts, threaded parts.
