LNS invented the modern bar feeder with the introduction of the Hydrobar® that enabled faster spindle speeds, reduced vibrations and provided greater workplace safety. In the ensuing years, LNS not only acquired more bar feeder patents than any other company, it also expanded its machine tool peripheral portfolio to its current five product categories, each contributing to unmatched CNC machine tool performance.

In 1984, the LNS North America business unit was established in Cincinnati, Ohio.  For 35+ years, LNS has been the premier provider of CNC machine tool peripherals in the North American market with bar feeders, chip conveyors, high pressure coolant systems, mist collectors and steady rest systems in its product portfolio.  LNS North America has three locations in Cincinnati, Ohio (LNS America), Meadville, Pennsylvania (LNS ChipBLASTER), and Kings Mountain, North Carolina (LNS Turbo).

BARFEEDING SYSTEMS

With over 100,000 units installed worldwide, LNS bar feeders are universally recognized for their exceptional bar guiding technique Hydrobar®.

In the most varied applications, the LNS bar feeders ensure maximum productivity on all types of fixed or sliding headstock lathes. In addition LNS bar feeders offer record reliability and flexibility and the fastest diameter changeover in the world.

CHIP MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS

The machining of parts by milling or turning requires an effective and continuous evacuation of chips to prevent production slowdown or stops and therefore increase machine uptime.

LNS offers a complete range of chip conveyors covering all material types and chip shapes. In addition based on the filtration requirements LNS chip conveyors can be equipped with up to 50 microns filtration systems.
 

COOLANT MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS

Machine tool  productivity is a constant concern.  LNS offers a complete range of high pressure coolant systems and tramp oil removal systems that guarantee optimal lubrication allowing a considerable increase of machining speeds.  Additional benefits are improved surface finish of the parts,  increased lifespan of the cutting tools and the machine tool.
