Versatile Fives Integrated Contouring Head Machines Reduce Setups and Cycle Times

 

The Integrated Contouring Head (ICH) combines a live spindle and contouring head into one headstock. Mill, drill and bore with the traditional boring mill spindle. With a simple control command switch to the contouring head to perform turning operations such as bottle bores, chamfers, threads, tapers and more. The ICH slide allows production of features of varying sizes with one tool saving significant tooling costs and time. Available on Cincinnati HMCs and Giddings & Lewis HMCs and HBMs, the ICH is THE answer for roughing and finishing fluid ends “one and done”.
